We are so close to the end! I have most of my blocks done and can’t wait to put the quilt together! Just three more weeks after this!

Keep yourselves in the love of God. Jude 21. Are you familiar with the tiny book of Jude? It seems to accurately describe the days we are living in even though Jude wrote it almost two thousand years ago. He speaks of the sin that was creeping into the church but he exhorts his readers to “build up their faith, pray in the Holy Spirit, keep themselves in the love of God and look for the mercy our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” I believe it is so important to be grounded in the Word of God. I need to read my Bible daily and meditate on God’s word. I can’t truly know God if I don’t spend time with Him.
Keep yourselves in the love of God. How do I do that? Well, I can NOT do that by being in sin. How do I know what God calls sin? By reading His word. The Bible tells me that sin separates me from God.If I am separated from Him I am not in His love. To keep my self in His love, close to Him, I need to make it my intention to NOT sin. Of course I fall short of that mark every single day, but it is not my desire to miss the mark. It is my desire before my feet hit the floor in the morning to ask the Lord to go before me, to speak to my heart and to keep me from making errors as I go about my day. God doesn’t put a traffic cone or road block in front of me so I can’t get to the sin I’m heading toward, but He does speak to me through His word that I have intentionally hidden in my heart. There have been so many times when I am about to say something and a verse will pop into my head. If I am obedient I will stop and think about that verse then correct my words and actions. I can’t say I always do that but I am trying more and more to listen to His still small voice.
Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.
Isaiah 30:21
I am so thankful for God’s unfailing love toward me and the truths in His word. Keeping my compass pointing toward Him will always lead me in the right path.

I just love sweet little objects with curved edges. Last week it was a small Dresden plate. This week I added chubby little hearts. I think they make me think of my babies long ago with their chubby little cheeks. Whatever it is I have no doubt pieces like this will always be a part of what I design. This block was quick and simple to put together. I hope you like it as much as I do.
The blocks are available in my shop for the next week as my free gift to you. After that they will be available for $5 for both blocks and the instructions.
Come back next week, the blocks are just as cute!
Blessings,
Michelle
