Wool, cotton, embroidery and English paper piecing. What a great combo! This piece is just the right size for a ready made frame so finishing is quick and easy! All work is done by hand so you can sit on your porch and work on it while you enjoy a bit of nature!

Supplies Needed:
- Background fabric: Fat Quarter (100% cotton quilting fabric is recommended)
- Wool for “porch”: 4” x 9”
- Fabric for “sweet”: 3” x 9”
- Assorted scraps for Dresden flowers (sample uses 3 blues and 3 purples)
- Thin Cotton Batting: 12” x 16”
- Embroidery floss to match your wool and the fabric for “sweet”
- #7 embroidery needle
- Precut English paper piecing shapes: 2” rounded Dresden (shapes from Sue Daley Designs were used for the sample)
- .05 Brown Micron pen; iron; fusible web; light box; pins; #9 quilting between or appliqué sharp and thread for EPP; small sharp fabric scissors (such as the Perfect Scissors from Karen Kay Buckley); fabric glue such as Roxanne’s Glue Baste-It; two 1” quilting rulers; fabric glues stick (such as Sewline); Wonder Clips
- Pre-made 12” x 16” rustic frame
- 12” x 16” foam core board to mount the design for framing
