Designed for my coffee table, this large wool, table mat celebrates cooler temperatures and crunching leaves!
Description
Finished Size: 32” in diameter
Supplies Needed:
- 33” square black wool
- 1 yard backing fabric (I used homespun)
- 1/2 yard binding fabric (I used homespun)
- freezer paper, small sharp scissors, DMC floss to match wools, #7 embroidery needle, #3 milliners needle, fabric glue (such as Roxanne’s Glue Baste-It), white chalk marker
Wools for applique:
- 7.5” x 7.5” of three different greens (grass #1 -3)
- 8” x 7.5” green #4
- 3.5” x 6.5” gold (leaf pile)
- 2” x 6.5” brown (scarecrow pants)
- 3.5” x 4.5” blue and brown check (scarecrow shirt)
- 1.5” x 1.5” cream (scarecrow face)
- 1” x 1” red (scarecrow hat band)
- 1.5” x 3.5” dark brown (scarecrow hat)
- 2” x 6” dark yellow (straw bale)
- 5” x 5” over-dyed orange (pumpkins)
- 7” x 12” over-dyed blue (truck body)
- 7” x 6.5” check (truck bumper)
- 3” x 6” muddy grey (tires)
- 5” x 10” dark brown (tree trunks)
