Designed for my coffee table, this large table mat celebrates an end to winter and flowers starting to emerge from their hibernation!
Description
Finished Size: 32” in diameter
Supplies Needed:
- 33” square black wool
- 1 yard backing fabric
- 18” square binding fabric
- freezer paper, small sharp scissors, DMC floss to match wools (color suggestions are inside the pattern), #7 embroidery needle, #3 milliners needle, fabric glue (such as Roxanne’s Glue Baste-It), white chalk marker and appliqué pins
- Optional: Creative Grids Quick Trim and Circle Ruler (4.5” x 24.5”)
Wools for applique:
- 7.5” x 7.5” of three different greens (grass #1 -3)
- 8” x 7.5” green #4
- 7” x 12” lavender plaid (truck body)
- 7” x 6.5” solid lavender (truck bumper)
- 3” x 6” grey (tires)
- 5” x 10” medium brown (tree trunks)
- 3” x 3” medium gold (bee skeps)
- 1” x 1” dark brown (“holes” in bee skeps)
- 3” x 4” dark lavender (large birdhouse)
- 1” x 2” black (“holes” in large birdhouse)
- 2” x 3” light pink (small birdhouse)
