Made with wool appliqué this large table mat is part of my “Round About” series. This winter version celebrates snow, old trucks and old barns…some of my favorites!
Description
Finished Size: 32” in diameter
Supplies Needed:
- 33” square black wool
- 1 yard backing fabric (I used homespun)
- 1/2 yard binding fabric (I used homespun)
- freezer paper, small sharp scissors, DMC floss to match wools, #7 embroidery needle, #3 milliners needle, fabric glue (such as Roxanne’s Glue Baste-It), white chalk marker, appliqué pressing sheet
Wools for applique:
- 7.5” x 7.5” of three different whites (snow #1 -3)
- 8” x 7.5” white #4
- 7” x 12” over-dyed blue (truck body)
- 7” x 6.5” blue houndstooth (truck bumper)
- 3” x 6” black (tires)
- 8” x 16” over-dyed green (trees)
- 12” x 10”red and black check (barns)
- 7” x 10” light grey (barn doors and roofs)
