I’m a couple days late with this post but the inspiration was running late I think. Maybe it’s all the snow we have or maybe I just wasn’t putting my full attention to it. Either way, it’s done and I am pleased with the results.

This year I am trying to be intentional about the things I think about. More and more I am spending time in the Word and in prayer. This is the second scripture in my series for this year and I actually designed it last year but didn’t know what to do with it.

I finally decided I want to make a sampler quilt with all the verses and the mats so they will all be the same size. Now that I have a direction I am hoping the designs come much easier the rest of this year.
I think the wool mat is really sweet. It was very easy to put together and it was all hand work. I love having a portable project with me. I can accomplish a lot in a short amount of time and when I put together all those little bits of time I can finish a project rather quickly. The pattern includes directions for both pieces and you can find it here in my shop.
I picked a very pretty fabric for the outer border for my sampler quilt. I will make a mini quilt and matching mat each month but I will also remake all the blocks and mats with fabrics to coordinate with the border fabric. I am not usually a fan of sampler quilts so this idea surprises me but I am willing to see it through!
This weekend I will share a sneak peek at my next big quilt pattern. I am in the process of quilting it. It is taking a while to quilt on my domestic machine but I do enjoy the process. I am excited to add some detailed quilting this weekend and I can’t wait to share it!
I finally found a quiet place to sit and work so I am off to finish up a couple of patterns. I pray you choose to praise the Lord with your whole heart today!
Blessings,
Michelle
