I am ready for spring and yesterday I noticed my daffodils are too. I was taking pictures outside and didn’t realize the daffodils were popping up until I almost stepped on them! This morning they are covered with a fresh blanket of snow which will protect them from the biting winds arriving this afternoon. It’s a good day to stay inside and work on handwork I think!

“For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone, the flowers appear on the earth.”
Song of solomon 2:11-12
Winter isn’t gone yet but soon. I am thankful that we haven’t had single digit weather in a while now and the days are getting longer. Soon it will be time to clean my very large yard and get my flower pots planted near my door. I’m also planning to start two new strawberry beds this spring. They won’t bear much, if any, fruit this year but next year when my grandson is walking we can wander out there and pick sun ripened strawberries together and eat them to our full! So many things to look forward to!
For now though I will sit and stitch happy little pieces that bring joy and peace to my heart. There’s just something about needle and thread….
Spring Hoop is lightly tinted with Prismacolor pencils before stitching to add extra color to this simple design. I used several embroidery stitches and have included stitch diagrams in case you aren’t familiar with them. The coloring is simple and I explain that as well.
The pattern is available here in my shop. It’s a little design so you have plenty of time to stitch it before the “official” start of spring. Happy stitching!
Blessings,
Michelle
