Batiks. Luscious colors. Easy piecing. Those are ingredients for a great quilt don’t you think? I agree and this quilt combines all of those ingredients!

I have always loved to play with designs on graph paper. I know it’s “old-fashioned” but using my pad of graph paper with a ruler and pencil are so relaxing and satisfying to me. I love to play and see what I come up if I combine different blocks or turn something one way or the other. And when you add color the possibilities are endless!
These batiks were all playing so nicely together on my shelf I knew I had to design a quilt with all of them. They have a very summery feel and are so happy! Right now there is still a large amount of snow on the ground outside my window which makes me appreciate these happy colors even more.
This quilt goes together very easily. Specific pressing instructions help all the seams line up nicely and eliminate most of the bulk at intersections.
The pattern is available here in my shop. While I love this color combination it would look great in other combinations as well. If you decide to pick other colors I suggest picking two colors opposite each other on the color wheel for the most contrast.
Thanks for taking a look! See you again soon!
Blessings,
Michelle
