It’s been so long since I have posted on here. It’s not that I haven’t been busy, I have, I’ve been working on so many projects and sharing quick updates on Instagram.
I started embroidering blocks for a Scripture quilt almost two years ago. My heart has been, and continues to be, to glorify the Lord in all that I do. My foundation is the Word of God and I want to share the precious promises it contains with my followers. I have chosen twelve scriptures to embroider for a quilt and I have them all drafted. I have also been adding supplemental blocks to go with each scripture.
I will be presenting two new blocks here, each Sunday, for the next twelve weeks. On the thirteenth week I will also share a block for adding your initials, and the year, along with instructions for putting the quilt together with sashing and borders.

When the new blocks are presented each week they will be available, as a digital download, for free in my shop for one week. When the next set of blocks becomes available the following Sunday those blocks will be free and the previous blocks will be available for $5. The patterns will not be available as hard copies, only pdf downloads.
Below I have listed the fabric requirements if you would like to work along with me. I will list the floss colors I am using with each block but I encourage you choose colors that work well with your chosen fabrics. I am only using two neutral fabrics for the embroidered blocks which you can see in the photo above. Make sure one fabric is a bit darker than the other but not excessively so.
- 2 yards fabric for outer border (this assumes the borders are cut on the lengthwise grain)
- 1/4 yard fabric for inner border
- 1 1/2 yards each of two fabrics for embroidered blocks
- 3/4 yard binding
- 4 yards backing
- 70″ x 70″ batting
- Assorted Fat Eighths or Fat Quarters for accents in the blocks

I realize it may be difficult to stitch two blocks each week but since I have been dragging my feet for so long I want to publish these patterns and finish my quilt. Remember to stop back each week to see the new blocks and grab them from my shop while they are free.
I’m excited to finally share this design with you! I hope and pray that stitching scripture will be as much of a blessing to you as it has been to me.
Blessings,
Michelle
